The next group to be harmed by the Israeli government: the ultraorthodox Jews.
Israel does not like conscientious objectors. They get a hard time in Israel. Even those who say “I’ll do my time in the IDF, but not in the occupied territories” – that is not considered acceptable.
Israel has, however, allowed its most strict Jews who attend religious education exemption from conscription. That decision has just been reversed. So now these young people who are very devout Jews, who – like Christian monks and nuns – have devoted their lives to their religion, will be required to put down the Torah and take up arms.
And they do not like it and many do not want to.
This is going to get messy.
As it is, these people are essentially ghettoised within Israel.
So now we’ll have the Israeli government rounding up the Jews from their ghettoes and packing them off to camps. They will be stripped, given a uniform to wear – one bearing the Star of David – and forced to carry out labour and possibly sent to die.

How ironic.
