Even colour-blind people see colour. ..It’s how you process and react to the colour that matters.
Chickens sure do see color. It is a pain in the rear to get new chickens with different colorations into a flock. And white chickens will peck just hatched black chickens and vice versa. You’d better be there when a hen hatches ducks or geese, especially geese. They’re very likely to kill them.
Yes, some are better at acceptance than others. I’m talking about the general run of chickens as I’ve seen them over decades.
I especially see color when it comes to sunburn!
