The statistics of paranoia. More than 20,000 Americans are murdered every year. Fewer than half of these killings are ever solved. Most killers are aged 15 to 65. There are 170 million people in this age group within this group. 500,000 murderers are escaping detection. Therefore, I out of every 340 people has gotten away with murder. Someone at your job, someone at your school, someone you've dated. And that's not even counting the thought murders... people who got away with thinking about considering killing! Next: Let's pass a law!
