I don’t think even republicans have a problem with the “roads and bridges” portion of the bill. It’s only 6% of the cost. The broader definition of “infrastructure” would put that number at 25-30% of the bill’s cost. It’s the non-infrastructure stuff that has jacked up the overall spending that would result from the bill. Even some dems are expressing concern.
