Not so sure about that. Went to school with some rich kids in college. Colleges plan for the legacies, the politically connected, there’s always a spare desk or 5 laying around for when that 6 figure donation shows up. Think about it. Once you’re there do you really care if there are 14 or 27 or 26 or 29 or whatever in the class? As long as you are there if you want to be. It has become obvious to me as I have grown older that there are a LOT of people in college who don’t belong there and it’s not necessarily the rich kids. Going into serious debt to get a degree is plain stupid if you don’t have serious job prospects in your field. Of course if you ‘re going to inherit Daddy’s Money – why the White House is the limit. Too bad they closed Alcatraz.
