But how could Halibuton, KBR or Blackwater make a profit affirming peace. According to all my Libertarian and right-of-center friends, if you can’t make a buck on it, it’s not worth the effort.

I, personally, would love to replace the War Department (excuse me, the Defense Department) with a Peace Department.

Yeah, if they start to call it the Peace Department, watch out.

Know what we need to do? Replace the army with the peace corps. And just have the army reserve.

Of course this might scare the terror crowd even more. No guns for those people.

Changing the name from “War Department” was the biggest “psych out” in U.S. history. Maybe if folks paid attention to the fact that generals often state : “Why would we spend so much on weapons if we didn’t intend to use them.”

It is so much easier to convince people to shell out bucks on useless products that might “defend” us, rather than just kill a bunch of people, and get our own people killed, in “defending us” from people who’ve done nothing to us.
