Each of my four children has a night to cook, no matter how simple or fancy.

These people are pathetic. Tell me Val didn’t realize they all had to eat. She managed before Phil moved in, now she just walks in and expects to be waited on.

By the time I was twelve I could cut up a whole chicken into its parts. Generally my mother would leave instructions and I would have dinner on the table by 6:00. I only had to do this 1 or 2 nights a week, but it was good experience. My nieces and nephews were all comfortable in the kitchen by the age of eight, helping me or making simple recipes on their own. People are amazed at the cooking I do, with the internet today anything is easy to learn and over time you only get better.

Doesn’t any one know how to make spaghetti and meat balls? It’s not that hard if you can boil water. You just need to buy the meat balls and sauce, not make them.

Wait until money and finances come into the picture – did they plan ahead for that one too? Joint or separate accounts, what happens when the girls want something? Meals are mild by comparison, just fire up the microwave and frozen dinners voila…Or just go next door to her sisters, bet Wally has spare lasagna’s stashed in the freezer.

That’s why I say that a nice Family sized Crock Pot is going to be a Necessity..So long as you remember that SLOW Cooking is what it is meant for, it’s just a matter of Measuring, Stirring and Leaving it Alone for 8 to 12 hours..Overnight is an Easy way to cook.Set the Temperature on LOW and go to bed..
