    My kids are pretty sure all grown-ups do is talk – at length – about boring subjects. The scary thing is, I think they’re onto something.

    Uh, “talking, going to dinner or movie together, having fun together…” and if she asks why again, they ask her “why do you play with your friends?” You don’t have to justify yourself to your kids.

    When the girls were little I could usually chase them away by reminding them that they didn’t want me hanging around when they were with their friends, and they should let me do the same.
