Giffords and Kelly have campaigned, as gun owners and supporters, for better gun control laws and regulations, not seizures, just controls. I would support most of the actions they’ve suggested and called for.
It’s the “media” -NRA competition to influence, or panic, the public, that is responsible for the political innaction. With roughly 300 “gun laws” on the books, they do need to be reviewed and rationalized, and yes, reduced in numbers, and repetitiveness, but they need to function for a well regulated militia, and preserve hunting rights and other rational elements of firearms ownership.
