Early in day, dissolve 1 pkg. apple-flavored gelatin and 1 teasp. salt in 1 cup hot water. Add 1 to 2 tablesp. vinegar, 1 teasp. grated onion. Refrigerate until syrupy. Beat in 1 cup commercial sour cream; 1/4 cup mayonnaise; 1 cup drained, finely chopped cucumbers. Pour into 6 individual molds. Refrigerate until firm. Unmold on greens; top with mayonnaise. Makes 6 servings
Notes from me:
I have no idea what draining the cucumbers means.
Apple flavoured gelatin is still around though.
And that’s a bit much mayonnaise at the last there. I’d use the salad dressing I posted here.
