Sad fact is, Republicans can’t bear to make any sacrifices lest it undermine their alleged freedom, cash flow, or firearms.

Some people cannot seem to realize that it is not a political statement but a humanitarian statement. Thanks to all essential workers who put themselves in harms way. From medical personnel and all hospital staff to those in stores etc.

Because war rationing is such an attack on civil liberties! Americans in the 1940s all knew that FDR was far worse than Hitler! Derp!

A continuation of the old “Can there be freedom without responsibility?” debate, … where the freedom to not wear an effective [N95 or equivakent] mask is currently paid for by spreading a sometimes fatal respiratory disease to others. Sadly, those who believe in religiously inspired pre-destiny or fatalism also deny the ability to change anyone’s fate and accept that Covid-19 or climate-change are out of man’s control. Others have a responsibility to reality and to their fellow human beings and will try to preserve the living by making the hard choices of preventing the spread of a sometimes fatal disease.

Fact Check: 2nd Panel, in the context of wearing a mask, is incorrect. “Can’t” is a contraction of “cannot,” meaning it is impossible or unattainable. The correct wording should be “No, We _Won’t,” “won’t” being a contraction of “will not,” meaning it is possible or attainable but there is an option not to do so. Granted there may be some persons which might be precluded from masking due to medical conditions or other valid situations that may remove such a choice. But in the main, masking or not masking is a choice (I won’t), not an impossibility (I can’t).

Good one from Ms. Wilkinson. “Antimaskers” is starting to look like a new religion. Is there a test that you have to fail before you can become a member?

Lets face it.. wearing a mask does label you “afraid”. Afraid of catching or passing on COVID-19.. and by God, there ain’t no true American that will ever admit to being afraid of anything. How does that saying go.. “Death before dishonor”

Whatever you do, don’t confront one of these “no-maskers”.

These seem to be looking for an excuse for violence.

It’s not so much “No we can’t” as it is “No we won’t”…

We would never have won WWII. Rationing? “No govmint’s gonna tell me how much gas I can buy.” Blackouts? “I’ll turn my lights on whenever I please.” The upside for some would be that we wouldn’t have neo-Nazis, we could have the genuine original variety.

Let me guess, I’m betting the same folks who approved of “No Shirt No Shoes No Service” are the same ones yelling about having to wear a mask, just a hunch. The issue, public health, is the same. Seems the target has changed from ‘dirty hippies’ to greedy MAGA’s.

My boss, who lives over the border in NH, one morning joked to us about how we like to live under a dictator who lays such stringent, unconstitutional laws upon us (MA). Yesterday, the NH Guv mandated that masks be work at all times, (except in your house), even when outdoors. Now my Boss can exercise his favorite right: “Live Free or DIE”!

I have two sets of neighbors who don’t wear masks. I’m high-risk, and sometimes, when I’m outside, one of them will approach me and try to stand really close to me. I don’t tell them to put on a mask because I know it won’t do any good. However, I always back up and tell them that I need to do social distancing for their protection as well as mine. They usually say, “Oh, OK,” but the underlying message to wear a mask, doesn’t seem to get through to them. What I really want to do is scream at them and say, “Do you think you’re immune from this? Are you so inconsiderate regarding everyone else that you won’t perform the simple act of wearing a mask?” Once again, though, I don’t because I’m too nice, and because they won’t listen anyway.
