New House Speaker Mike Johnson is such a hypocrite. In 2019 he spoke out aggressively against bringing an impeachment of Trump, though there was a specific charge: refusing to release funds that had been fully appropriated, authorized and allocated and for which issuing the check was a pro forma Treasury Department duty that Trump blocked — holding the funds hostage until Zelensky would agree to manufacture FIBricated “dirt” on Joe Biden. Extortion. Derelection of Duty. Soliciting foreign election interference.
In contrast to the specific “high crimes,” with plenty of evidence, in all previous impeachments, for the first time an “impeachment inquiry” is being authorized with no factual basis, purely as a fishing evidence.
Moreover, Mike Johnson made a big deal about the danger of “single party impeachment,” notwithstanding that there were votes to impeach in the House and convict in the Senate from BOTH PARTIES in both impeachments.

The hypocrisy astounds.
