    wow, that’s truly depressing…

@trainnut1956 It’s exactly those types of comments (and the “what lumbered by” comment from Enter.Name.Here) that make women paranoid about their appearance.

@marshallpeters yeah, it must depend on your accent, in my case I pronounce them basically the same (more of a “ruh” and “reh” but not “ree”). It’s interesting, I love accents and words. :)

I know what you mean, our younger sibs always seem as they were when we were young. Turning 40 didn’t bother me at all, but when my baby brother hit 40, that threw me for a loop! :)

omg, that’s totally my son. my husband and I joke that he should be a contract lawyer because he can find the tiniest loopholes in any rules… :)

indeed. pitts are large, very strong dogs (as I can attest to!) so when one does bite it will do a lot of damage. one of the things people tend to forget, though, is that when small dogs bite it is not severe so MANY small dogs bites go unreported — this skews the statistics.

also (as anyone who has ever owned more than one dog of a breed can tell you), every dog has it’s own personality and temperament, just like people do. my pitt is a total pussycat snuggler who loves everyone, while his brother is very shy and takes awhile to warm up to a new person.

I completely agree! I love Carlin’s mid-career stuff. His rant on airline announcements is one of my favorite bits ever. it’s sad that he got so angry and bitter toward the end of his career.

yep, my husky mix does it too! we call it “singing”. Reading “Dogs of C-Kennel” makes me wonder if the Mastroiannis have been peeping in my window — I happen to have a pit bull, a chihuahua and a husky mix and I have to say, their characterizations of them are spot on! :)
