    I love this comic but not this strip. Evie’s reply is rude “Glad I’m not you”. Really? That’s pretty harsh.

    As to the comments about being “present” or not, please recall that up until the suburb era, most families and generations lived very close to each other (or with each other) and so shared in the every day lives of each other.

    I don’t see anything wrong with Evie going off on these adventures. It’s her life and she lived it in a way to be able to afford the experience — including sharing a home with Val, a situation that benefits them both. However, since we’ve seen the Evie is part of “how” the family lives their lives, it would be nice if Evie included Val earlier in her planning/thinking.
