These blast marks, they’re way to accurate for an imperial stormtrooper. Only Sandpeople are so accurate.

Pippin : What about winter? Aragorn : You’ve already had it. Pippin : We’ve had one, yes. What about Second Winter? Merry: I don’t think he knows about Second Winter Pippin. Pippin: What about False Spring? Salt slush? Mud Season? Fool’s April? Final Snow? He knows about those doesn’t he? Merry: I wouldn’t count on it.

That’s way beyond micro-managing. Looking at the SI unit prefixes, I’m pretty sure that has to be nano- or pico-managing.

I think there is more to that number than just feed and clothe, and I don’t think it’s intended to be an even spread across all the years. Babies need diapers, and grow out of clothing much faster. As kids get older, activities like music lessons, sports, camps, etc. all cost money. Toys and books. Education including school supplies and for some people, private schools. Gift giving holidays and Birthdays. Saving up for University. Some years and some months are particularly expensive. Low income families won’t typically be able to afford to put their kids in as many activities and opportunities as the wealthy families, so the number presented is an average across all income classes, and the entire 18 years to adulthood.

I think this comic is grate, but a word of caution…. a few puns is ok, too many can be grating, and then they lose their zest.
