I never found cleaning up someone’s life treasures a waste of time. It was always a great way to say goodbye, seeing what they treasured and sharing memories of all those things. It was like an archeological dig, putting together someone else’s life story from what they kept.

Funny you should say that. We have a clock that runs on double A’s. The batteries just conked out. When I took it down to change them, I discovered that they were Radio Shack batteries. How long have they been gone? That is how long the batteries have worked. Must have gotten them in their going out of business sale.
Yes, I think I have seen most of the mountain ranges in the lower 48. While majestic and awe inspiring, for me nothing beats the mountains here, while the Blue Ridge come a close second for me. I am sure everyone feels that way about their “own” mountains/area.
I have never wanted to live in any other state. We did move from Queens to upstate 20 years ago and I will never live any where else. Yeah, winters are gray and cold, but you can’t beat the views. Prettiest mountains in the US in my opinion.
