Sounds like the Evans clan was watching the opening scene of Reservoir Dogs. Imagine if Luann said she doesn’t tip….

Could show the perspective of the people being held hostage the past six months.

I heard an idea from one of the talking heads on ESPN that made sense. If a player is sitting out a road game due to “load management”, he has to make an appearance before the game for autographs/photos. If the Orlando Magic promoted ticket sales saying Steph Curry and the Warriors are coming to town, and Curry is sitting out, then he’d be available for autographs/photos an hour before the game. If you were bringing your ten year-old to see Steph play, at least they’d get a meet and greet with him.

Reminds me of a mid-80s SNL skit where Reagan seemed out of it in public and then behind the scenes he was running everything. Season 12-1986 “Mastermind” (w/Phil Hartman as Reagan)

Do a quick Google search for “cornhole scholarships” since this made the news this week. It looks like other schools will be doing the same. This is no more idiotic than schools expanding their athletic department funding while eliminating academic departments.

Hockey fans can sit closer to the action with but a thin sheet of glass separating them from the action. Imagine Spike Lee trying to trash talk an opponent with glass separating them. :)

Maybe he just wants to go about his life without having a spotlight on it and maybe losing his job. There was a 15-year old African-American girl arrested in Montgomery, Alabama for not moving from her seat on the bus, nine months before Rosa Parks. She and her name disappeared from history. Roughly fifty years later, an author tracked her down. She didn’t want to publicize her story or where she was until she retired, not wanting to lose her job or have the media bothering her employer. He followed her wishes, then published the book after she retired about Claudette Colvin.

Anyone who wants to be president has to have a large ego. If you were Biden and thought you’re the only one who can beat Trump a second time, are you stepping down? And if the Democrats pass over Harris for someone else, the African-American support in the party will drop. Quick, name the young (late 40s/early 50s) Democrat who has accomplished a lot and/or has a dynamic personality.
Happy National Cartoonists Day Greg! (More overt in Foxtrot today; if you read the fine print in Luann’s last panel….)
