   i agree with you, but i always wondered if the subject of homosexuality was so important then why isn’t in the ten commandments? i guess “god” forgot about that.

    wow. this is a really interesting conversation. i mean this with absolute sincerity and no sarcasm, that you are a very well meaning and insightful person. i have really enjoyed having this discussion with you.

    i am not writing any of this because i have an axe to grind with the founding fathers. i just see a lot of comments about what the founders did or didn’t do and explanations of their intentions and i guess from my perspective i wanted to show that there are different viewpoints.

    you are correct in saying i don’t know what my beliefs or reactions would be if i was raised in that time. i said " i don’t know about you but i didn’t need to be born in a more progressive time to know that owning humans is wrong". as i reread that statement i realize that was a low blow directed at you and i apologize.

    you do parse things very carefully and specifically and have shown me that i need to do the same. thank you for that.
