Luann and Tara are so self-absorbed about their “helping” Piro, and what they think is best for him. He clearly stated that he is dealing with some stuff right now, and doesn’t want to talk. The girls should offer silent support by asking if they could just hang out with him and not say anything. They probably don’t understand a comfortable silence and how soothing that can be.
@IvIax, you totally missed the part where they are talking about her “DORK brother,” which back in the day, Brad was a dork. Her story does not take place in present time, and actually takes place mostly in her imagination.
I could read before I started Kindergarten. At age six, I was in First Grade. I remember being bored silly at how slow the other children in my reading group read out loud. I was most definitely a bookworm at age six. I would bring home stacks of books from the library.
