My friend asked her 89 year old Grandmother…. "What do you think about "Meals On Wheels GrandMa? Grandma replied….. “well – Wednesday’s are pretty open – I spose I could DELIVER some on that day of the week” ;-)
One of my elders (and a personal hero) set a “goal” to keep active up to the point of dropping dead off the back of his snowmobile at the age of 89… he had to revise his goal and was still riding his snowmobile this last winter… at the age of 93!
that comment reminded me of the Hill Street Blues episode where the venerable “Sarge” dies, and his wish for his ashes to be spread on Hill Street is fulfilled – just a short while before the City Street Sweeper machine does what it’s made to do….
