Pretty sure “Happy Holidays” is the phrase used to keep from offending the left.

Got it. There are no corrupt Democrats on a Trump level. I took NO position on either party.

I INSINUATED nothing. I ASKED for examples and have been told there are none.

    Be seeing you.

    Got it.

What I’m asking for doesn’t exist.

    What am I misunderstanding?

I have requested examples of Democrat ‘self-policing’ and ‘punishing’ one of its own for offenses on a level equivalent to the accusations laid upon Trump and non-Democrats.

By your own words, I “have been given a couple of examples of Democrats who have been forced to resign by their own party for comparatively minor offences.”

What has become clear from a number of respondents is that, apparently, there are NO examples of malfeasance by a Democrat on a "Trump level.” That is an assertion I leave others to debate and decide.

If I were ’trolling,’ I would be attempting to engage in an argument. What I have been doing is trying to elicit evidence to validate the original contention that Democrats “police and punish” their own.

Thank you for offering a viable example. His offense did warrant his consequence.

However, to be accurate, was his offense called out by the Democratic party?

And according to Wikipedia ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Edwards ), he was never convicted of any crime, per se, although his political career was essentially destroyed.

“an example of a Democrat whose offense was way, way less than TFG’s – and who was told “he had to resign” doesn’t fit your criteria”

You are correct in that statement. The ‘offense’ and ‘punishment’ aren’t quite the same as the accusations and requested punishment for TFG.

“If we actually had an example of a Democrat that fit your criteria”

Another example of a contradiction to the original post by @cdward.

“You are so full of crap.”

Actually, my bowel movements are normal and regular.

“The republicans have zero interest in policing their own. … Quit dissembling…”

Your response is not germane to the question I posed.

dissemble (verb) – to present a false appearance of

    How am I ‘dissembling?’

If an assertion of ‘self-policing’ is made, but cannot be justified with examples specifically asked for, who, exactly, is ‘dissembling?’

As of this writing, I have yet to read of one Democrat to be named by respondents who has been “policed and punished” by the party for malfeasance on a level of that attributed to non-Democrats.

“I don’t think that you’ll find any such examples, because, as far as I know, there have never been any…”@cdward implied that the Democrat party “policed and punished” their own members. Which is it? They do, and have ‘punished’ offenders, or there aren’t any? The two contentions are in contradiction. The ‘examples’ given are “offences that are obviously much less serious than Trump’s” (your own words, note). So who are the Democrat offenders that were ‘punished’ for misconduct on a “Trump” scale?“An example on the Republican side would be Richard Nixon” Citing an example of the opposing party does not really answer the original question.

I’m getting mixed messages from various respondents.

Was Franken “forced to resign” or just “resign” out of political correctness? If the former, then okay, he was “punished.” Otherwise, not so much.

What I’m asking for are examples of acts or behaviors by a Democrat on the level of what Trump (or any non-Democrat) is accused of where the offending Democrat was “policed and punished” by their own party as the original poster, @cdward, stated in the post I originally commented on.

    I am still waiting.

If he “resigned,” how was he punished? Seems to me it was more a sign of personal integrity at best and kowtowing to political correctness at worst.
