I like shredded Brussels sprouts on a salad, they don’t taste that bitter to me. They smell like the wind from the Devil’s hindward tubes to me when they’re cooked/being cooked.
I would rather have a meal or a drink with a friend I did a favor for than just walk off with their money. Food or pastries works too. I can’t bake very well, so if I’m gifted a lovely pie (I’m a pie guy) as a thank you, debt paid and then some!
My sister can never just get to the point either. She’ll be on her third minute and I just start pretending I’m clicking a remote control at her. She’s used to it now, the first time she asked me what I was doing. I said I was trying to fast forward her to the punch line. Saw it on a show.
We still had to do it up until the early 80’s. One story cottage style house so thankfully it wasn’t too much of a chore.
