My favorite English beer! I discovered it at a pub outside Salisbury during a day trip to Stonehenge and Avebury. [happy sigh] My sister’s is Theakston Old Peculier, discovered when we went shopping in North Yorkshire. [Second happy sigh]

My dad did the same thing once. Wanted a snack and my mom had put the canned dog food in the bowl. Chunks of meat and you could see carrots in it. Looked like beef stew. Poor Dad. He had dementia and had to be watched closely. But the story shows that we couldn’t watch closely all the time!

We had moles one summer.Just one. Our dog Daisy dispatches every living thing that is in HER territory. She even leapt up in the air once to grab a mourning dove that was a little too slow taking off. Not only is the land her territory, but obviously the air, too.

Our indoor kitty Teddy Bear (aka Teddy B. aka T. Bear) finally earned his keep today and dispatched his first mouse. (Don’t get me wrong, I love mice and wouldn’t mind a couple as pets, but wild house mice can chew wiring, alas.)

I’m a sophisticated gal, but bathroom humor never fails to make me throw my head back in laughter. Good one!
