Good lord. It’s 2019 and my 10yo asked me to explain this one. I didn’t get it at first, because it’s been so long since the Freedom Fries brouhaha. Came here to understand it. Then gave my 10yo a little history lesson so he could understand this ever so topical comic.
My 10yo asked me to explain this. I googled it and landed here. After reading comments here I understand that Jason’s point is that he sent the virus on purpose and that he thinks it should be obvious to her that he sent it on purpose.
My 10yo then pointed out that it would have made more sense if the boldface, italicized word in Jason’s sentence was “think” instead of “sent”. After a moment’s thought, I agreed. Emphasizing “sent” works, but emphasizing “think” would have made Jason’s point easier to understand.
