    No, it’s not. No one here has any expectation of privacy, TJ isn’t recording the conversation for commercial uses, and he may just have “whistleblower” status. Nothing illegal here at all.

    Hey, Lance … No, it’s not illegal to record someone without their knowledge; it happens all the time. That only comes to play when the “recorder” is going to use the “recordee’s” image or voice for a commercial (for profit) purpose. They’re standing in a publicly open portion of a retail establishment. Where’s Ann’s expectation of privacy?
