   Well I think it would be a great arc for her to be pregnant. Hopefully, the Evans can’t screw that saga up with bad writing. I don’t know why she’s neutral right now, it could be a lot of reasons. I could see her being scared about being a mom, scared about being financially secure, scared of having a situation like Jonah-Shannon, scared she might not be but disappointed to have to tell Brad, etc. There are just so many reasons here, shoot I haven’t read the strip for the longest time but it could be something related to her own childhood and growing up (what were her and Jonah’s parents like maybe she’s afraid of becoming or acting like them). Maybe she’s worried about how it could impact her career. Also, she’s talking to TJ about this right now because he’s home and he asked and even though she really didn’t want to address it (she probably subconsciously wanted to talk about it with someone). TJ is there and he asked so she’s trying to remain level-headed and figure out how to talk to Brad, while navigating her own feelings on the matter. Being a man, I don’t know but I suspect women talk to other women sometimes about possibly being pregnant before talking to their partners, especially if they are navigating emotions and feelings they are uncertain about so talking to TJ doesn’t seem that odd. Also, I think between yesterday and today, TJ is trying to be both empathetic and supportive, his mannerisms play like man I really don’t know what to say or do right now so I’ll just try to be a good listening friend. Sure he throws in a snarky comment but that’s more his personality which Toni is at this point used too. And I think she can see he’s not trying to over step either. I really don’t think he’s being creepy just kind of whoa this could be big and how could I help.

2. 2 months ago on Luann

   This story arc feels so dumb. Tara seems to want to do him, Luann wants to try and be his friend, and Bernice seems to want to fix him. I think Luann is the only one who genuinely wants to help and be supportive. Even if she is like oooh he’s mysterious and hot which is attractive to her, I think she unconsciously recognizes that he just needs someone to talk to who has no end game. Bernice is like omg I can save him…which will turn into a wreck. And Tara, either the Evans want to have this weird cousin attraction storyline, or Tara means well. I’d like to believe it’s the latter, not the former but all the dialogue has pointed to the former not the latter. I think in a way like Luann, Tara’s heart is in the right place but the Evan’s have given her this weird “I think I want my cousin” endgame vibe.

   I honestly really want it to be Luann jumping that would actually make for a very good storyline. It would create a lot of little arcs moving forward too. Creative writing class now she has something to really write about.

   I didn’t even pay attention to the transfers allowed notice yesterday, but when I first looked at the last panel and the instructor said, “DeGroot.” I understand it’s meant to be ambiguous but it’s Frank not Luann.

   Let’s just be honest here, we all know how the Evanes write…they don’t have the drive to have Luann actually go through with it even though having her actually be the jumper here creates so many opportunities for character growth and story arcs moving forward.

   mrs. horner will be dead by summer…sad since Luann needs a mentor/guide and frankly, this lady is exactly who/what she needs…she just didn’t know it before

   yesterday i would’ve said that his “ok” comment displayed how he understood that it was complicated for her.

   because in male language sometimes okay just means okay (I understand nothing more nothing less)…but today now I’m not so sure…but I liked my thought yesterday…this sequence now is just silly

   like I said, I liked that his response yesterday was simple and was relatable from a male perspective at least to me personally

   I see people wanting them to get caught but eh can Ber-Nil just have their funsies and get off…the thrill sparked her drive…he’s into it…he’s into her.

   I mean I get what other people are bringing up…but this is sort of regression mindset for Bernice right…didn’t do this in high school so now she’s older and living that social/psychological context that she missed out on in high school

   now will they go to a “kink-con” in the future LOL

   Agreed…when I started teaching I was like I can save them all

   My first dept chair said you can’t and the sooner you accept that the easier the job becomes

   You always try but like leading horses to water you can’t make them drink

   My career got a lot easier when I realized I didn’t need to try to save everyone

   i’m a teacher and i think Luann can still be a teacher…Luann cares about kids…Luann made a mistake with Tara one that was a glaring error in judgment but that wouldn’t disqualify her in the future from being a teacher. she hasn’t even taken teacher training courses at JC. I still think that Tara meant well with the archery stuff…I think she screwed Luann making her leave after getting reprimanded. Luann is questioning things because she lost the thing driving her towards teaching and was asked to replace it with something that she sees as less than ideal (tutoring). All that said, Luann can still be a teacher if Luann wants to be a teacher. Nothing that’s happened so far disqualifies her from that career path.

   Tutoring is teaching

   Someone said most tutorees just want you to do their homework which is true

   But a good tutor teaches their charges how to do things and how to them quickly and effectively

   So Luann can either tutor up and teach her charge how to get better or take the usual lemme just do it for you way

   Maybe her tutoree is Faye that could be promising

   Anyway…how the job itself goes is really about Luann more than the kid

   I like how she’s like bleh then remember I’m a teacher and think girl you wanna be a teacher how you think kids are at least with tutoring you get to choose who you work with and determine your own wages

    Holiday season I expect a return to Shannon with copious amounts of presents from her father while dumping her on brad and Toni for the holidays and her insisting he’s a such a great dad
