If it’s purple, it’s spirit duplicator (“ditto”), not mimeograph. I’m an old science fiction fanzine guy, and still have a spirit duplicator in my office.
I am proud to live in Milwaukee, where our series of Socialist Party mayors made this one of the nation’s most livable cities for most of the early 20th century (yes, the Happy Days family had a Socialist in city hall, and he was pretty widely admired).
