I think it is time for truth. A new study just came out and it showed that more people quit and stay quit from smoking than those who used traditional pharmaceutical products. Who’s losing big $$$ by people quitting smoking?

I can tell you! Big Pharma, Big Tobacco, and Big Government all lose money when people quit smoking. Less pharma products are being sold to help people quit smoking and to treat smoking related illnesses. Less cigarettes are being sold as people quit smoking. Less smokers means less taxes and less master settlement agreement money goes to the government.

There is a funny saying… “Keep smoking, we need the money”. When we look at the truth, that saying isn’t very funny at all. Every time we do something that motivates people to NOT quit smoking, we are doing something to cause more people to die. That is a very tragic form of population control.

Over 480,000 people die every year in the United States due to smoking, plus many more from 2nd hand smoke. That’s over 1300 people a day.

Vaping is a form of Harm Reduction (like condoms, seat belts, helmets, and many other products that reduce risk). E-cigs are 95% safer than smoking. (remember, nothing in life is 100% safe). Vaping is the consumer solution to the tobacco problem. 2nd hand vapor has been tested and found to pose no risk to those around them.

It is illegal to sell vapor products to anyone under 18 in the United States. It is an adult product developed to help adult smokers quit smoking. If youth are vaping, we have an enforcement issue. Either it is being sold to kids or bought for kids. Those parties AND the kids using them should be held accountable.

Somehow, the “war on smoking” turned into the war on nicotine. Nicotine does not kill people, and does not cause cancer. The only proof of nicotine being addictive is when smoked / burned. The FDA says there is little risk of becoming addicted to nicotine in patches, lozenges, inhalers, or gum used to help smokers quit smoking. The nicotine in those products is the same nicotine used in vapor products. There is a documentary being filmed right now about nicotine. It is called “You Don’t Know Nicotine”. I’m looking forward to seeing it when it is released next year.

Next time somebody tells you that nicotine causes brain damage, ask them to see proof in human studies. Think about it. Years ago, the majority of the people smoked, and most started as teens. We sent people to the moon, with very limited technology. If those people were all brain damaged from nicotine, how did they achieve such a breakthrough? What about Einstein? He was a smoker, too. Was he brain damaged.
