Parents setting a good example by making their kids go (up to a certain age/maturity level) is a good thing. A podcast I listened to recently talked about the biggest thing driving the decline in church attendance and religious practice is children not growing up in a home where parents engage in frequent religious practices. Because of this, children are leaving the faith at a younger and younger age.
Don’t know if he has a degree or not, but he studied physics a lot at one time. I actually exchanged a few emails with him once upon a time. Was surprised he actually, personally responded, but he was pretty cool about it. Even shared a science/nerd joke with him that few people get or appreciate and he thought it was pretty funny. Seems to be a nice guy.
