Many years ago, I did Triathlons. I have to hold my tongue every time I hear somebody say: "oh, I did a triathlon, I did a team Tri, and I did the bike (or “run” or “swim”) leg" What I WANT to say is “well, no, you didn’t do a Triathlon, you rode your bike”
Our local Supermarket was having a sale a week or so ago on Tim’s Potato chips, “buy two bags, get three for free”. I like Tim’s chips, and that is a pretty good deal. But I have zero will power when it comes to chips. So, I passed on that deal. I didn’t want 5 bags of chips in the house!
Just this past week, I found a local gem of a hardware store up here in the Seattle area: MccLendon’s Hardware. Only problem is that I went in looking for something very specific, and ended up buying some stuff that I didn’t know I needed until I saw it on the shelf.
If it were me, I would have taken the battery out, set the deactivated unit on the counter and waited until Boxing Day. But then, I refuse to live in fear.
