Old fashioned remedy, but I found arnica gel helpful when I sprained my foot. Also Biofreeze (which has menthol). And as mentioned by emiesty, soft compression can help.
I’ve always wondered about night shift pay, so I googled it. Per the US Dept of Labor, employees must be paid for hours actually worked (7 hours in spring or 9 hours in fall) despite what the clock records because of the time change. Another good reason to stop changing the clocks!
