    NO…. it is a French model 1935 designed by Charles Petter. Elements of the design were later licensed to Sig, which is why it looks a lot more like a Sig 210 than a Browning. (Good research by the cartoonist…note the slide is inside the frame like a Sig, rather than outside as in a Browning )
