For help on how to follow a comic title,
i grew up in the washington dessert and had many snowless winters. i’ve spent many christmas days in sunnyside, and snow was rare. in between the cascades and the palouse, any precipitation is rare. and, there are three large grocery stores in sunnyside, as well as dozens of retail stores. tumbleweeds, yeah, they are everwhere.

in response to sparks, what you are saying is the only thing spanking taught you was might makes right. perhaps a better approach to discipline would have taught you to do right based only on your own free will, a lesson which would stay with you your whole life. in response to isengrim, that’s like saying you can’t have empathy for a starving child unless you have been starved. i don’t think that’s remotely true.
so i researched new jersey crime and found mixed information. raw crime numbers did increase in the atlantic city area, but population also increased. the question becomes, was it gambling related. some studies show a crime increase in any place that increases transient daily population, so any tourism spot shows a crime increase. and the crimes are “soft crimes”, fraud, theft, public intoxication, etc. a small decrease in violent crime percentage, probably due to increased population. there was also speculation that gambling reduces crime by residents, because of the increase of jobs. so, mixed bag. kind of like lower crime in rural communities, because so few people want to go there.
and the wages of goodness is death. that’s just the way the world works.
did you actually equate playing video games with shooting random people on the street. that’s insane.
in regards to the first panel, which state saw the crime raise? always question a statement when vital information is intentionally withheld.
i’ve known two kinds of people that don’t watch tv. the smallest group are people who have no interest in anything but themselves. they are woefully uninformed, yet seem to always know what other people should be doing. the larger group are people who think tv is network sitcoms and reality shows. they have no idea what is actually available on all those channels. just because you find nothing to watch at a specific moment does not mean there is nothing ever worth watching.
not an argument because you don’t even try to uphold your side.
here in houston, all the republicans are running ads bragging how much money they got from the feds for hurricane relief. like it’s okay to take from the government, as long as only good people get the money, not those other takers, the ones that live somewhere else.
