The kid seems to have missed the connection: a big reason FOR the decline in communicable disease deaths IS the fact that people have learned the importance of sanitation and hand-washing in preventing them. While it’s true that a boy that age is unlikely to practice the art of hand-washing to excess, you may notice, the next time you get sick, that your kid brought it home from school first.
Yes, Calvin is precocious and imaginative and often a delight to watch. If Mom would stay and HELP him with his homework, keeping him focused and grounded instead of shoving him aside and leaving him to his imagination, he might be a lot LESS trouble AND more likely to succeed in life. That’s right, all you moms out there… I’m talking to YOU!

Absolutely! Doing that to a daughter can result in her never having a good relationship, and doing it to a boy who practically worships his dad can backfire and make YOU the bad guy. NEVER a good idea!
