Cat food. That’s it. I can always find something to eat for myself. Used to also be Diet Coke, but I gave that up 4+ years ago because I was tired of having to run out and buy it when I ran out.
Yes, Chloe sent me baby Maizie. 3-year anniversary of her death/20-year anniversary of when I found her. Woke up that morning thinking maybe I should get Orrie’s replacement while he’s still here so I’m not faced with the “it’s too soon” dilemma afterwards. Looks exactly like a doodle of a cat I’d made weeks before.
Definitely check into the Gabapentin. When I was making hour long trips with one of my cats for his cancer treatments, I kept a small litter box in the back seat. To use it, we’d stop, I would get out, walk around to the front passenger side, recline the seat and turn him to face the back, get back in my side of the car close and lock the doors, then let him out to use the box. Getting him back in wasn’t always the easiest within the confines of the car, but I found if I drove a bit in the parking lot, he’d beat it back in, then I could stop, get the carrier closed, turned back around, and the seatback back up.
That’s an awfully small bag of food for someone with 6 cats. We’re going to be reenacting this scene again in two days.
