I’m cheering for the vac. Lupin has been a little too destructive and lunatic lately, and needs a lesson in humility.

But to get to your face they first climb up your entire body with their claws, leaving itchy red scratches from your ankles to you shoulders. And then they bite your nose.

I find that breathing is underrated, and would heartily recommend it to anyone.

That’s odd. I tried to do a strike-through on “deprecated” by affixing “~”, but not only did it not strike out, it also just swallowed the “~”

Underlining is deprecated no longer used anywhere on the web, because it make the text look like a link even though it’s not

If chilli-chocolate steak is a thing (and it is, and it’s delicious) then why not habanero -frosted sugar bombs?

Sophie is a very sensitive soul. I actually tear up when I think of that strip where she was reading those horrible reviews of her art.

@that_jedi_girl I don’t know how accurate it is, but the movie “The Wrestler” showed me something interesting. While the story-line is scripted, the actual fights are more free-form. Before the match they’ll sketch out broadly what they want to do, and then just play off each other during.

In the movie all the guys were in the dressing room doing this sketching/brainstorming thing with their respective partners, er, I mean “opponents”. One guy said something like “and then we’ll do move X somewhere in the middle” and another guy said “Hey! We were planning X for our grand finale” so the first guy says “OK, we’ll do Y instead”. So at a high level the entire night’s entertainment was coordinated so that the audience wouldn’t get bored seeing the same moves over and over.

I don’t know why, that just struck me as really interesting.

Yup. But remember that the scenario was her invention in the first place. And everyone, Sophie included, has just been playing their little hearts out at improv theatre since then. But you’re right. There’s nothing like a shared experience to build bonds of friendship

Don’t think of it as “staged sport”, think of it as a cross between acrobatics and theatre (albeit lowbrow theatre)
