I never heard his music or of him. Then I came across “Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars” at a department store here in upstate SC. The cover was interesting so I bought the LP. I think I’ve got just about every vinyl album he released until there were CDs. So I bought a player for my stereo setup and started buying his releases on CDs.It was a sad day when I heard he’d died on NPR. Never got to see him perform live.
