   I was recently on a jury and the judge really did a good job impressing on me just what an amazing system the trial by jury thing is. Much better than the alternative anyway (i.e. a judge, elected official, or military person deciding guilt). There were differing viewpoints on my jury, but eventually we all agreed based on reason.

   Arafat’s kid was a student in my friend’s 4th grade class in Tunis after his death. His wife spent most of her time in the Riviera. She gave my friend a Prada purse during a parent teacher conference.

   What is with the instant demonization of someone who disagrees with you? This is getting insane. We are all fools and wisemen, and are deluding ourselves if we think we know what is really going on based on the talking points that our selected media outlets feed us. The instant hate because someone is exposed to a different set of media and is in a slightly different cultural environment is ridiculous.

   Watched John Stewarts first time back at the daily show. Was a nice little move showing all of Biden’s supporters avidly proclaiming that he is the one calling all the shots, completely in charge, the room electric with his quick decision making. And John says “did you happen to film any of that? Cause it might be in your interest to reassure us. Maybe turn on the camera next time?”
