Theoretically true! In practice it has been the executive branch that has been governing in absence of congressional action. Given the dysfunction of congress and the blatant truth that they will never be able to govern at this point, seems like the experts working for the various agencies are better decision makers than the courts at moving governmental along. Now it is up to congress to write the law enshrining their incompetence and granting agencies the power to regulate in lieu of the courts!
Apologies, I thought you were defending the use of outdated articles. You were just trying to point out a typo in another comment. Guessing your tone was due to some long going dispute and not that you agreed with the person you were seemingly arguing on behalf of.
That being said, I know that here in Portland Oregon, the protests were co-opted by non students who just like to anarchy for the sake of it, who eventually made it into the Portland State Library and vandalized it pretty good, so now the actual students can’t use their library. Talking to a student at the protest, I was told that the police were incredibly patient and reasonable, but that some of these non-students were pointlessly aggressive in response, eventually leading to a confrontation.
Reminiscent of the Occupy Wall Street and the George Floyd protests. In those cases, after months of encampments, the only people left protesting were the people with nowhere else to go.
Each day I read about 7 comics on this Site. Always read yours last because that way I leave feeling warm and fuzzy. Great work with this. Do we know how old the characters are?
I was recently on a jury and the judge really did a good job impressing on me just what an amazing system the trial by jury thing is. Much better than the alternative anyway (i.e. a judge, elected official, or military person deciding guilt). There were differing viewpoints on my jury, but eventually we all agreed based on reason.
These type of comments make me want to travel back to a time when people weren’t so critical of comics about time travel
