   Thanks for continuing to read, at least! I’m sure there are a number of factors, and it’s possible age is one of them, but by and large these come from a specific perspective I guess, which jives with people or doesn’t. Most of these are not meant to be uproarious, but to be amusing in their perspective / view of the world.

   Explaining jokes doesn’t tend to make them funny, but in this case, imagine if tears falling from your eyes were a surprise – like dropping a plate while washing the dishes. Here, then, we have a “whoops, oh no, mt tears are falling out, they’re supposed to stay inside” sort of moment. Whether that’s funny to you is anther thing, and one can’t expect everything to hit with everyone, but that’s where this is coming from.
