   All these commenters talking about not using cursive since school; doesn’t anyone write thank-you notes or Christmas cards anymore?

   Language changes but the need to communicate doesn’t. Cursive writing has been removed from the curricula of many school systems. I have people who work for me that can’t even sign their name; they only know how to print. Give them anything written in cursive and they can’t read it. Our school system has been dummied-down enough and it shows in our workforce and in our welfare system. Maybe your comment was an attempt at being cute but it reflects ignorance.

   Fist, be thankful you are gainfully employed. Second, I’d much rather be working on a scheduled day-off (like I am now) than dealing with the flu. I get a flu shot every year and usually don’t come down with the flu and, if I do, it usually isn’t as devastating to my body. I feel for you poor folks who can’t tolerate the flu shot.

   Yeah, VALKA, some people are just never exposed to some of the finer things in life! LOL I grew up on a farm in the country in NE Indiana. We had a large creek running through the farm. When it wasn’t frozen solid enough to play hockey, we played in the snow-packed county road. If there wasn’t any snow or ice on the road, we used the tractor and spray tank to spray the road with water and make ice! Yeah, we all got banged up a little bit, but we had one hell of a good time.

   I grew up on and lived on a farm. I’ve been to Europe twice, traveled all over the US, Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, Central America, have my pilot’s license, ball room dance, have an Associate, two Bachelor, and Masters degrees, can hold my own with any wine list, am an accomplished cook, water ski, downhill ski….by now I hope you’re getting the picture. Obviously you have serious misconceptions about farm life.

   I think that is what this arc reflects; a rude awakening and realization for Michael as to where the food he eats comes from.

    Butcher paper is an excellent block against freezer burn if properly wrapped. We would butcher and freeze a beef and 1/2 a hog every 6 months (big family). We never had freezer burn issues.
