Right here, in the comments section. Unfortunately.
I’d posting a top-level comment that isn’t a tedious screed about how someone needs to just stop trying to read this comic if he doesn’t like it so much, with the hope that it gets the sorts of engagement that led GoComics to feature that top-level comment.
Unfortunately things like that don’t lead to a bunch of replies, and as such this effort will surely fail. Because GoComics’ “featured comment” algorithm is literally just “which comment gets the most responses,” and that means that it biases towards people posting tedious, contentious things that everyone disagrees with enough to respond to.
So instead I’m posting this as a reply to the same tedious, yet contentious, screed, that’s been said on every single comic since the new cartoonist took over and made this strip readable again, with the hope that it actually gets seen.
Unfortunately she removed all of this week’s strips from the main site, so…
It’s called “interval training.”
Here in Seattle, not only do we have birds and squirrels year round, but even as far North as we are, this is the place where a lot of birds fly South to.
It’s the year 2020, we’re still making “spirit animal” jokes?
This particular cut only works if the cake is two-dimensional. In three dimensions there would be an obvious seam between the two corners.
Therefore I am boycotting this comic forever.
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/no-two-snowflakes-alike/ has a pretty good writeup on it; the short answer is two snowflakes can never be identical but neither can anything else, and two snowflakes absolutely CAN look identical, which is what most people mean.
Can I just say that the Olivia Jaimes Nancy take on Pikachu is absolutely adorable?
