We are on e bikes, and follow the posted rules. Sometimes we get abruptly passed by a pack of speeding Lance wannabes in yellow shirts and there is likely a ‘cheater’ insult hurled our way.
I dunno, I previously took delight in the playful imagination and subtle sociopolitical content of this strip. Now it seems to have jumped the shark. This is so ‘Forrest Gump.’ Although bizarre, it’s not very original or entertaining.
I genuinely dislike posters who try to direct or influence storylines, but here I am. (…..sigh…..)
It’s a widespread approach in the US to treat one’s aging parent like a child. (I’ve worked in senior services the bulk of my career). Just as not everyone is qualified to be a reasonable parent, not everyone is qualified to a reasonable supporter to their aging parent.
If it’s art that everyone thinks is okay, typically, it doesn’t say much. The best art should convey or express an idea. Generally, people don’t all agree on ideas. Ask, “what is the artist’s intention?” And “did the artist succeed?” It is so much more than creating a likeness.
