   The polio virus itself never left. It’s still found in waste water everywhere, including here in the US. People who are vaccinated don’t develop paralytic disease but can still harbor it in their gut. Unvaccinated people choose the risk of paralysis without the basic knowledge of how the virus or the vaccine works. You are so right. Viruses do not “burn out”. People who were vaccinated as children have grown up ignorant of the science and developed complacency BECAUSE their vaccines worked.

    Not all are ignorant bigots. Start with a marginalized and isolated adolescent. Give them a platform that makes them feel they have special knowledge and a group to belong to. Continue with steps 2-4.
