Oh, I have other suggestions for those with extreme wealth, also. Go back to 1950’s level taxes, where the top earners are paying 90%. That and strong unions gave us an economy that allowed a strong middle class.
How about this: since we have so many “originalists” on the Court and in Congress, we go back to what was originally intended for Congress pay… since it wasn’t intended for “politician” to be their sole job, they were paid, in 1789, $6 for each day they attended a session. The equivalent today, adjusted for inflation, would be $211.59 a day, but they only get paid if they are present in session.
My prof for my Statistics/Probability and Trig (I think was the pairing) at IU Bloomington in ’95 had a TA. He needed someone to break it down to normal person level, since he was the guy who wrote the textbook we were using and lectured as if we should already be at his level of understanding. None of my other classes were large enough to really need one.
Or did you mean the school bus? They’ve been around since the late 1800’s, and their best known configuration and “School Bus Yellow” color was adopted in 1939.
Ours was Bordeaux, French wine region. And we almost agree about no more ocean cruises. Viking does offer bigger ship ocean cruises, but the most alluring thing to me still applies… adults only.
My wife and I have been on one open ocean Carnival cruise and one Viking river cruise. I much prefer the Viking cruise. Smaller ship, less motion, no one under 18 on the trip, fantastic food themed around the region you’re cruising in.
I ended up with a bloody nose from it.
