I think the person who suggested that the pitcher needs to be broken before the eyes of the mob was right — but Skeezix needs to bed the one to do it! Surely there is at least ONE loose board on Walt’s front porch — Skeezix could be bringing out the pitcher, refilled, and then trip over the loose board — Skeezix goes down, the pitcher goes up, then comes down HARD on the porch railing, breaking into dozens of little pieces. So credible, no one will even question the loss of the magic, and as we all know, “All magic comes with a price.”
