There must not be any engineers reading Dilbert these days. Rotation is a vector, and the vector points in the same direction no matter which side of the equator you’re on. It’s just that the observer is looking at the vector from a different point if on different sides of the globe…. ie the observer is different, but the rotation is the same. And yes, Dilbert got it backwards.
