    So you’re saying FDR overreacted?

If you are really an anatomy professor, then you should know how to do your own research. I found several papers from medical libraries about neonatal lung and heart development differences related to sex. You find me ones that assert there are no differences between male and female hearts and lungs after birth. Generally, male hearts are bigger, male lungs are bigger, and the advantage starts in the womb. That’s the science.

I know there are hermaphrodites, and that there is actually a spectrum of physical sex organ formation in humans. I also know several people over my lifetime who have transitioned. I have no problem with adults who wish to transition. I agree that with a proper amount of counseling, with the parents directly involved, such decisions can be made with minors. I am against outright bans, but am also against keeping parents out of the loop. I think you are incorrect on the amount of people who regret it, I believe that number is played down by the current media, and with the explosion lately of kids deciding they are the opposite gender, that number will climb dramatically, as I find it hard to believe it’s real in the majority of cases, most are confused kids having a hard time. Lawsuits are already rising on this, and will continue to climb with current policies. Kids are not mature enough to make that decision alone, especially those pre-puberty, that’s just messed up to allow without a lot of therapy, and even then therapy should continue throughout the process. You have to remember, one decision has pretty much permanent results, whereas the other can be made as a mature, fully informed decision. Which do you believe is crueler, forcing to wait and make a mature, informed decision, or being forced to live the rest of your life with a spur of the moment decision of an unhappy preteen that badly needs therapy? And as far as sports go, let me ask, how many women that transition to men decide to compete in men’s sports, compared to men competing in women’s sports? There is clearly a one way advantage there.

It’s more than the mass of musculature. Males have generally bigger and more efficient hearts and lungs. Males muscles are attached to the bones in a way that gives better leverage. Male bones are denser. All this happens before birth, during gestation. Muscle mass developed during puberty is only part of the differences between sexes. It’s fine for people to want to transition, but it’s not okay to allow them to participate in sports not of their birth sex. Its misogyny. It negates the purpose of Title 9. It’s also not okay to allow males still with male genitalia into women’s spaces. Without requiring a fair amount of therapy and education as to the permanent, potentially harmful results, it’s not okay to allow minors to make a choice they don’t fully understand, and treatments that have permanent results, and sometimes severe ones. It’s insanity, it’s cruel, and especially with children, it’s evil.

You seem remarkably unaware of how effective even simple disguises are for cartoon characters. Sometimes no more than a pair of plain glasses and change of clothing will do

So it’s not rule of law then. It’s a free for all if it’s that easy. Just accuse someone ,basically. Don’t you understand that when one sides resorts to this kind of behavior, the other side has the same option when they are in power? We are slowly but surely turning into a banana republic in our political system, where we start to weaponize the legal system against our political opponents. Whether it works or not is immaterial, it’s undeniable that this kind of behavior is tearing at the fabric of our system of government. It’s taking away the power of our voting democracy. That can and will have very bad consequences. Trump should have been impeached, I personally believe that. But we are slowly breaking the system with this cr*p.

I don’t think much of Trump, and perhaps the DOJ has a case against him, but I do believe in the rule of law, and so far Trump has yet to be formally charged with sedition, much less convicted, so bringing up the 14th in his case is irrelevant. Removing him from ballots without true court of law decisions seems rather totalitarian to me. Eliminating democracy to save democracy I guess.

I have owned a Tesla for almost 5 years. I love it, great, fun, cool car. The self driving software is cr*p, it will do just fine on one drive, then go bonkers on the next, even on the same route. You have to be instantly ready to take control. It’s got a long way to go. I never use it anymore, too stressful. I was a professional pilot, and using an autopilot way up in the air is very different than on the ground. Many, many more problems to solve than when flying up away from everything. Self driving cars are still a long way off imo, but I love driving my Tesla.

You are a textbook example of cognitive dissonance. I’m no Trump fan, he’s got psychological issues as well, but Biden is full on suffering dementia. He walks and acts and speaks just like my mother as the Alzheimer’s got worse. The debate, should the democrats allow one should be intersting.
