   I just wanted to explain to those same journalists what I was trying to say. I’m not convinced their comprehension is any better than their language skills. Not everyone is as astute as you so obviously are!

   My point in my previous post is that today’s news reporting can be very difficult to understand without having to decipher the poor writing skills.

   Part of the problem is that today’s journalists have no command of the English language. So many of them don’t even know the difference between there, their, and they’re. It seems like they just randomly pick one and hope they’re correct. Says volumes about the quality of public education and our country’s colleges.
