    Burials cannot take place unless paid in full. And no, nobody is ever just dug up unless requested by the family. Sometimes they want to be buried in a different section than where they originally chose.

    It’s stored until the family pays in full. We offer 50% down to make the stone and the balance upon delivery. We set the stone assuming it will be paid but sometimes people decide once it’s there, we have no recourse to collect the balance. Sometimes in the thousands of dollars.

    We have a granite company that will pull the headstone in that type of situation and grind it down and re-sell it.

    I work in a cemetery and if a person doesn’t pay their balance, we do pull headstones off the graves!
