   This concept of maiming animals in an effort to bend them to a more likable pet for people who don’t deserve them in the first place eludes me. If you are capable of at least a bit of compassion please consider that you are responsible for these animals’ well being and safety, and that they are defenseless otherwise.

   Have you ever considered trying something different? You could offer a friendly word of encouragement to the mother, or tip a little extra to the help who has to clean up behind her children. In the long run, you might end up being less agitated by other people’s woes!

   This is much better point regarding the motorcycle. I’d rather take the challenge of getting a good action shot with an old Canon camera than trying to jump a 800lb cruiser on a sandy beach.

   He could’ve meant ‘heroine’, e.g. “The Mexican cartels are smuggling (most of) Scarlett O’Hara across the border.” Also, he’s generally right on.

   @chithingI believe ‘Dumb Hits 4 Judges’ is a reference to Morse v. Frederick. The case involved a sign (not a rock band) created by a Juneau, Alaska high school student. I think Conley is subversively making a statement about free speech and recreational marijuana use, if you follow his strip closely this seems to make the most sense.

    We bought an antenna that only picks up a few channels and cancelled our expensive cable service. Now it only takes thirty seconds to find out there’s nothing worth watching. I highly recommend this!
